This beautiful statue is cast from high quality polyresin and has been handpainted in pale gold and metallic silver colouring and is accented with glittery pieces of mirrored glass. It depicts an Egyptian jackal, emblematic of the God Anubis.

Anubis was the god who embalmed Osiris after he was killed by Seth. Thus, Anubis watches over the process of mummification. Priests often wore a mask of Anubis during mummification ceremonies.
