This simply stunning statue of the Egyptian goddess Isis is made from a compound of crushed stone and high quality polyresin which gives her a solid, weighty feel. She has been finished in a gorgeous golden bronze colouring with greenish verdigris highlights. Isis was the Egyptian Goddess of Magic and Life remains one of the most familiar images of empowered and absolute femininity. The sister and wife of Osiris and mother of Horus, Isis embodies the strengths of the feminine, the capacity to feel deeply about relationships, the act of creation, and the source of sustenance and protection. In the outstretched wing position, she demonstrates her role as protective guide of the underworld.
