With a highly developed sense of humour and play, Ravens are very intelligent and loyal birds. They mate for life and live in family and clan groups, living for as long as sixty years. Ravens are ancient symbols of great spiritual significance to the native North American and Canadian tribes, especially their Shamans. Odian, father of the Norse Gods, was accompanied in his travels by two Ravens – Thought and Memory – whom he sent to bring back news of the world to him.
