Beautiful Pentagram "Swivel" Necklace

$9.95

This beautiful silver-tone Pentagram pendant measures 32mm in diameter, excluding the loop on top, and features constrasting matte and shiny finishes as shown. It is an unusual "swivel" design with the double-sided central circle free to spin around on its vertical axis. The pendant comes strung on a plain black cord (not leather) which can be tied to your preferred length.

The word Pentagram comes from the Greek word “pentagrammon”, meaning five lines. The Greek Philosopher Pythagoras believed that each of the five points of the Pentagram represented one of the five elements that make up humankind: fire, water, air, earth and psyche. In geometry, it is also connected to the Golden Ratio. As far back as 3000BC, many cultures have used the Pentagram to symbolise a wide variety of meanings, linking heaven, earth and humanity. Like the swastika (which in its original form was a symbol of good luck), the Pentagram has sometimes acquired conflicting views.
