This beautiful journal has been made in Tibet using recycled paper and hand-beaten, hand-coloured leather. It features an Om Symbol design within a colourful ornate border on the front, with a complimentary design on the back. The pages have been saddle-stitched into the leather cover, which includes a fold-over flap for protection and a tie to keep the journal neatly closed when not in use.
The Om or Aum is a sacred sound and a spiritual icon in Indian Dharmic religions. It is also a mantra in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, and part of the iconography found in ancient and medieval era temples, monasteries and spiritual retreats.
The journal measures approximately 18cm x 13cm x 3cm and contains 220 pages (110 leaves).
